LED front grill emblem

Hi all i was wondering if someone could help. I want to install a led front grill emblem on cla180 1.6 2016 i need to know what wire to tap into on drivers side light. The wires that are there are 2 x blue wires 1 x yellow wire a brown wire and a grey with red stripe

It may not be that simple. If you tap into an existing lighting circuit, the current drain will give the wrong information to the car and confuse it so you may get all sorts of bulb error reports etc.

Probably better to give it it’s own supply.. the days of “just Scotch locking” another lamp into the circuit are gone.

Go straight to the cigar socket, always on when engine is running.

Surely would be "cooler" connected to the auto lights.

What you need is a thyristor switch of some sort. This would allow you to permanently wire a positive feed that will drive the LED to any 12V line, even one that's on a permanently (through a fuse of course) then tap into the side light power feed to trigger the switching effect. The switch feed on a thyristor uses barely any current so probably wouldn't be picked up by the lighting diagnostics.
Someone must sell them for aftermarket applications perhaps called an electronic switch.
