Hi all,

Just bought myself an '09 C250 CDi estate sport, as my workhorse Astra was written off a few weeks ago. Hopefully this one will be reliable!

It has the 'standard' bulb rear lights, but i've seen several from the same age with LED clusters in the rear lights (not mistaken with the facelift version).

I have found some LED ones on eBay and they look good. Does anyone know if they will 'plug and play' into this car, or if the computer will just have a hissy fit?

Any input appreciated!

Thanks!

If they are genuine MB LEds, then they need coding into the rear SAM ( I did it for a mates W204 ).

The screen shots were a tad misleading, as the ones we used were for a lhd car... very easy to suss.

I'm guessing the Ebay ones have a wiring harness that has resistors / gubbins to fool the sam into thinking that bulbs are still there ?

HTH :)

Yes they are genuine MB ones, just secondhand. So i assume not on the resistors.
Does anyone know where i could go to get them coded?

Assuming they don't work straight from the off.... or would some of those clip in line resistors do the trick?

On all the lamps that I have changed they have worked as is and never needed coding

The ones i got are just the indicator LED ones, and they worked fine from the off - 4(?) bolts, unclip cable, pop out, new one in, bolts done back up, plug back in and i was away. Not sure if that is the same for the post '11 full LED units...
