Hi, I have a 1982 Mercedes 300 D turbo, the signal lights don't work. Have checked the fuses which are ok and the emergency flashers work. So what can be the problem.

Check the fuse is making proper contact in fuse box.
Even bridge accross the contacts with wire.
If this does not work check connector plug at indicator switch.

Turn Signal light

Regarding my 1982 Mercedes 300D Turbo, turn signals don't work. You suggested to check the connector plug at indicator switch. Do you mean the assembly in the steering colum, if not where is the indicator switch located. I checked the steering colum thru the rubber window where the whole assembly is located and to me it look tight. What should I look for in this assembly? Take it out or just what? Please let me know where is the connector plug at indicator switch. Thanks alot

Sounds like your hazard warning light switch or the flasher unit
