Hi all, for a while now I have always wanted to find out what the top speed of my car is and would it reach the 155MPH speed.

Today I finally managed to get onto a private track and test it out.

Safe to say it managed the 155MPH top speed then straight away went into Limp mode. And would not rev past 3k in any gear even neutral.

Pulled off to the side turned the car off, let it cool down for a bit, went back to it and it’s driving totally normal. Pulling in every gear past 3k revs.

Is this normal and just a safety feature?

That’s good news then, just making sure before I sent it to the garage to get checked out.
Seems totally fine in the drive home no problems at all.

And how do you know John?

Which is why I like Porsche, made for silly speeds all day long, will bang off the Rev limited without changing up, none of that 155 limit nonsense  and no limp home when you get to terminal velocity either

Well....let’s just put it like this, when you have an E63 with a stage 1 (pushing 705 bhp) and the limiter deactivated dropping down 2 gears whilst at speed isn’t wholly recommended (and also highly embarrassing when your shotgun was a BMW driver....)

I don't appear to have a 155mph limiter since the remap!

I also don't appear to have a spare driving licence, so I not going to confirm it either!
Usually it is included in the remap package ....

I did hear a rumour m119 versions of r129s aren't limited. No idea if that true or not.
