Hi, I own a ML280 cdi 2007 ( 18000miles) and the engine management came on about a week ago and went into limp mode. Took it to a garage I know really well and they plugged it in and got fault code. They confirmed with mercedes what was needed. Turns out it needed a switch of some sort for for inlet manifold (£150). So that got done which was a time consuming job and got car back 4 days later. Car worked perfectly for a full day then warning light came back on and back into limp mode. Same fault code kept coming up again. (dont know code, sorry). Need help please. Will try get code

Sounds like you had the inlet motor changed, done a few of theses now, but, there is a fault with some of the manifolds, the pins seiz in the casing causing the works to jam up, only way to find out is to strip it out again!!
