Hi there, first post here.
My C200 (5 speed auto, 2008, 80k miles) recently went into limp mode in 2nd gear. Have had the transmission fluid and filter replaced which cured it for a while but now back to square one. Looking for advice on next steps. Had a diagnostic done (see attached). Didn't pay a bomb for the car so looking for an economical solution here please!
Have read about possible conductor plate issues etc but wondered if anyone's had the same issue. Cheers

Don’t quote me , but that might be the gearbox speed sensor fault, if it is , it’s a few hundred quid ?
Search that fault code on the tinternet or YouTube

Buy a cheap conductor plate from ebay and get it fitted and you will also have to have the codes cleared before it will work. You have already done the oil and filter so just replace the plate.
Halfords do an oil for the 772.6 box which is produced by Comma and is around £26 for 5 litres.
Had the same on an w210 e300td , limp mode eventually resulted in reverse and 2nd gear only and before that it would stay in one gear or not change until throttle lifted and bang into gear at times and lots of weird behaviour but restarting each time cleared until it eventually had enough and stayed in full limp
Y36/n2 and y36/n3 are the two speed sensing magnets on the conductor plate

Thanks for the replies, I'll look into getting hold of a plate and give it a whirl.

Cheers
