Hi all

I have just raed a post on here about a broken linkage on the intake manifold flaps, please raed post below.

PROBLEM FIXED

IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE INLET MANIFOLD
THE FLAPS ON THE MANIFOLD ARE OPENED AND CLOSED BY AN ARM THAT IS CONTROLED BY A SOLENOID AND THE LINKAGE FROM THE SOLENOID TO THE ARM HAD BROKEN, THIS MEANT THE FLAPS COULD OPEN OR CLOSE AT ANY TIME THUS
SENDING IT INTO LIMP MODE
NOW FIXED CAR IS GOING BETTER THAN EVER.

Can anyone tell me where this linkage is located on a ML270 cdi or have a picture of it's location.

any help will get my greatist thanks

Cheers guys

Mark

its called a inlet shut of valve. as you say a new manifold is needed, hence the name shut off, it shuts off the inlet to give you engine breaking!!!!
