Without an owners manual handy I have tried to find this online, but have had no success. I have three storage heaters to transport, all are dismantled to make it realistically manageable and also so that the bricks can be loaded strategically if called-for.

At 2 x 145 kg and 1 x 110 kg they total 400 kg which is just over 882 lbs ... or 3 rugger players lol.

However, I want to check on the official load carrying limit and go by that rather than an assumption that with the rear seats lowered and the load spread evenly across the whole loadbed *it sounds okay* ... does anyone have that information please?

Thanks!

Have you checked the the vehicle plate on the drivers 'B' pillar? It should list the max axle loading

Not being at home I do not have actual figures to hand --but from experience and many many times filling up these cars to max space -I have only watched the rear wheel clearance as a guide---(front and steering will be very strange if a lot of wieght is in back ) it will bottom out on bumps in the road if too full as well.
good luck!

The difference between the vehicle weight & gross vehicle weight on all models is > 600 Kg. From that I would take it that a 450 Kg load will be fine

I've had a similar weight in the back of a W124 Estate on more than one occasion and they're absolutely fine with it

Ive had 616kg in the back of a TE and yes the SLS had a tuff time getting the backend up but it did fine. Just dont steer into the bends to quickly.

Many thanks .... I'd have been surprised to hear otherwise, but reassuring all the same. Heaters ahoy!
