My CLA is at the dealer for the next few days so they have loaned me a C300d Cabriolet.
One thing I found surprising is the amount of rearward visibility you have when looking over your right shoulder when reversing, but there is noticeably less out of the rear window.
Seems to be a lot of minor squeaks and rattles coming from the roof area.
It's nice but I would much prefer the coupe, also it wouldn't be the colour I would choose. To be perfectly honest though I prefer the drive in my own car.
No I haven't had the roof down.

Strangely I love it, colour is important though. I think maybe a White doesn't look so good, but no. I like it.

How do you find the steering wheel position? I had a C200 (2020) (on loan) and it is very nice but the steering wheel is off centre to the left. Very odd driving position.

I havn't noticed that on mine, that is something I will be looking for now

I didn't notice anything off centre but as above I will look for it on my next drive.
Funny you should mention the steering wheel though because when I first got in the car I couldnt see the top of the clocks, but that was easy cured by lifting the steering wheel up a bit.
Must have been a very short person driving it last.

I had one as a courtesy car a couple of years ago (for 3 days IIRC) and never drove it with the roof up! I think the back is a bit ugly, but I did enjoy it in the sunny weather. I think if I did have a convertible though it would be the E400d rather than the C, and would have to be a second car just for the nice weather.

The down side of rag tops. I have only had two rag tops and the were just the same. The only drop top that I did have that didn't creak and rattle was a VW Eos but that had other issues, it leaked like a Colander

My R129 was silent and leak free.
The only creaking was the hardtop when I forgot to Gummi Pflege the rubbers before refitting it, or if it was a bit out of alignment.

My son had a Triumph Herald convertible a good few years ago and I was surprised in that it didn't rattle like the saloon Herald

Had a run out in the car this Morning, steering wheel is dead centre. ! Are you you sure it's not your SL being slightly to the right ?

Intresting my local MB dealer are not offering loan cars at the moment, quoting Covid issues.

Agreed. My 129 is silent with the soft top up but creaks with the hard top on.

My neighbour who has an A45 got his car collected, an E Class loaner left for his use, returned and replaced all by our local MB Cheshire Oaks. This was last week.

I had my first drive with the roof down today....in fact first time ever in any car.
It was a novelty and have to say I really enjoyed the experience. I got a bit of attention and felt like a poser.
@rorywquin I paid attention to the steering wheel like you said but it seems spot on to me.
I should have this car until Friday.
