Could someone identify for me the exact location of the MAF on a 2004 W203 220cdi engine please. If anyone has a picture that would be a great help.

Thanks

I dont know exactly on this car, but the first place I would look is the AIR BOX. Then from the air box work towards the bulkhead and the first thing directly after the air box would be the MAF. Two metal spring clips opposing eachother around a black plastic cylindrical object, about 4-5 inches long, the same diameter of the pipe work coming from the air box, and an electrical plug connection into the side of it at 90 degrees. Tell me to shut up if I am telling you how to suck eggs!! ;)

I know this is a diesel, but surely they are the same principle??? I mean, being in the same place as a petrol....

Thanks for help.

Problem is that I have located the pipe work coming from the air box, and the electrical plug connection into it but there are in fact two such electrical connections, one slightly larger than the other. I assume one is the MAF but I'm not sure which one.

Incidentally on my car the pipe out of the air filter box comes towards the front of the car rather than back towards the bulkhead.
