Fwiw, there have been many recently from the likes of Royal Mail requesting a small £2.99 fee for an undelivered item and another I had some weeks back from HMRC etc. Generally, ally text based things I just delete as any legit method would usually drop you a letter with details in the post.

Latest one which Ms Peterws is bombarded with is the "criminal activity using your National Insurance number, phone us to avoid being arrested". That and the calls from "Sky" offering a rebate for slow internet access, for which they want full access to your computer. Barstewards.

Trouble is there will be MANY who fall victim to this simply due to shock/fear and not being upto speed with such forms of crime.

I get a lot of calls from young and old family members to advise on the calls and messages they receive around refunds/demands and all are scams.

IMO, routine updates on TV regional new etc should be provided to help more people not fall victim to it.

Plenty of different scams going about whether by email, phone or FB you just have to be vigilant

Don’t reply to them - just delete.

I got the same yesterday but it was auto filtered to junk mail.

Seems a regular thing that. Women are more trusting I guess and therefore more susceptible to being scammed.
