Hi

I'm a newbie to this and looking to buy a CLK 55 AMG coupe. Its a W209 53 plate with 100k on the clock and the price is £6250 including a private number plate which is worth at least 500 quid. Now it does have a valeo radiator but none of the problems associated with it in terms of the humming/droning/jolting gearbox. Is this too good to be true as the next cheapest is £7500. Any comments would be really helpful.

Thanks

That seems very very cheap. As always, if it looks to good to be true, it normally is!

Cheap in the short term can potentially be costly in the long term. These are expensive cars to keep in good nick so tread carefully!
Get an independent inspection done by a specialist is my advice

Price seems about right .

Just check all the known issues with the model , and make double sure ALL the electrics work ...Seats,heating, etc..

It's a lot of car for the money .

Good luck .

I took a long time to source and get mine.

Ensure that all services have been carried out, check for everything in the car, electrics, seats, lumber support, etc. You do not have have too many of these cars coming up for sale so be prepared to travel. If something is not right, just walk away.

I had my MB specialist check the car after purchase and I did have to carry out some work. I have spent over £2k now getting the car in tip top condition.

Car is perfect now and simply a joy to drive as it should be :)
