Hi all,

When driving now on bumpy roads it feels like my 230 slk has something loose on the front. The only way i could describe it is as though the shock absorbers have gone and the suspension is jumping???? I have looked at the shocks and there is no sign of fluid loss. I am putting the car on the ramp tomorrow morning. Is there anything obvious that i should be looking for.

Thanks all

Most likely the anti roll bar bushes and links, not expensive.

They can (often) look perfect and still be faulty.

Might be wrong, probably am, but I didn't think the SLK's had link arms - just rubber bushes:wink:

Hi,

Thanks for all your replies. I put the car on the ramp this morning and the outer anti roll bar bushes(the ones on the wish bone) are worn. The roll bar is loose in the bushes so i think that must be the problem, have ordered some and will fit them tomorrow.

Cheers
