Hi All, i lost the key to my E220 Cabriolet in Germany, i only had the one key i hadnt got around to getting a second key after i bought the car. It's been sitting in a Mercedes dealers in Germany since March, they have been telling me ever since that the key would be available at the beginning of August, they now say they don't know when they will get a key. I went to a UK mercedes dealer who confirmed he cannot even order the key, but suggested there was a Mercedes replacement key specialist in Birmingham. Does anyone know this company or does anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks

Probably worth seeing if they'll do you a deal for a set of two :). Once that key is gone, our modern cars are essentially immobilised bricks (I think yours at 1996 comes under the modern category too)! Always worth having a spare.

Have been in contact with this company, to re-build a key to as new £90.
Would MB Grangemouth be able to supply a new key?

Thanks Harry, knowing how I am with keys, 2 sets may not be enough.

Hi Rifiki, that's a lot less than the eur350 I have been quoted in Germany. I tried a MB main dealers in London too, but they couldn't even order the key, not sure if MB Grange mouth would be any more successful.

90 quid sounds very reasonable to me. Always worth a try with Grangemouth, they've always been able to supply various spares to me at good prices.
