Lost Wipers ,indicators

Hi all brought a s/h merc 240 est on thursday private sale ,out today filled with petrol ,got back in car started and drove off ,but indicators and wipers would not work ,pulled in turned off, and re started all workling again ,any ideas why this should happen ???

Could be many things, stalk problem, front fuse box issue, i wouldnt worry to much untill it becomes a regular problem.
