love hate relationship with this car

I call this car black magic, my son (18 years old) call's it a "dope ride".
2005 sl55 black on black 60k miles, she looks beautiful even on the back of a flatbed.
But boy, does she have issues. I've done, the vacuum power supply pump in the trunk, all three engine/transmission mounts, alternator and a fair share of electrical wiring, oh ya, also change on of the BCS oil lines on the driver side. Latest, whining noise from, I think, R/R as your driving. I'm thinking wheel bearing, but I'm not sure. So before I start taking it apart I'm wondering if anyone has encountered something similar that might convince me to start taking it apart. It's either this or I chase a ghost that pops my trunk open sometimes when I open the driver door to get in. ( I'm thinking defective vacuum pump)

I'm with your son, I think it's a dope ride. Thankfully mine is a little less complex and a lot less troublesome. But it sounds like you have some mechanic skills, so you probably bought it as a way to fill your lockdown time. Enjoy. And post some pictures, even while its on the back of the flatbed truck. These cars are so easy on the eye.

But until then, Does anyone have the hydraulic fluid fill procedure for the convertible top hydraulic pump on a 2005 sl55? This is the part number in case they're different #A2308000030

Hey, I got it, added fluid to the pump and bled the system.
