Lowest UK petrol price ever

With oil falling from $150/barrel to $42 today how about a guess at what will be the lowest price on the forecourt for petrol in the next 6 months?

I will start with 79p

I too can just about remember 4/11d per gallon - sadly, like the fuel price, the lady may also be suffering the ravages of inflation by now and may not be quite as you remember her? :-?

When I first started motoring (Motorbike - BSA C250), my first fill-up cost me 4/10p (24p in todays money). Mind you, I only earned about a fiver a week...!!!!!

Do you ever remember pushing a pair of silk stockings down into the sump to quieten the big end knock when trying to sell the old car ? cork granules in the back axle and a raw egg in the radiator to seal the leaks a teaspoon of cod liver oil in each cylinder through the spark plug hole to cure the blue smoke and some fag paper stuck over the rust holes in the chasis and sprayed over.

I will go with Jez at 83p as I cant see the petrol companies loosing out
