Does anyone have any first hand experience of an lpg conversion on a car with the M103 engine?

Any experiences gratefully received.

Hi

The car becomes unreliable. Keeps cutting out & blowing various pipes on causing the engine to cut out & you stranded miles from no where.

lpg conversion

I've used lpg on a M102 engine for three years without any problems whatsoever. Before you decide either way, consult an installer who is an approved member of the LPGA. Also, only consider a closed loop system which uses an exhaust oxygen sensor - early installations did not include this item and were prone to the symptoms mentioned in Andy's post. It's worth paying a bit extra for a quality setup and the provision of an approved installation certificate for your insurance company. Hope this helps, good luck.
