LPG & Diesel engined Mercedes

Has anyone added an LPG kit to a diesel Mercedes and if so where did you have the LPG tank installed?

Is this a new thing?
I thought that only petrol engines could be converted to LPG.

I think I'm right in saying that it is possible to have LPG & diesel, but the LPG is an additional small %, not fully fuelling the motor ?

Something in the order of 10 - 15% of the diesel fuel consumed.

However, when you consider the cost of a complete LPG installation and the extra complication added versus the improved overall mpg improvements, I can't help but think it's a waste of time and money. Maybe there is an argument for making it a "dual fuel" car for city access ???

Get a juicy v8 and convert that to LPG and enjoy all the noise for half the fuel cost.
