Hi all.
Quick question regarding spark plugs for the M112 V6 engine (I think also M113 are the same).
Mine is currently on 88000 miles and I don't think they have ever been changed so is something that is currently at the top of my todo list.
What are the recommended plugs?

I've researched a bit and think these Bosch double platinums which is also what Kent on Mercedes Source most recent video mentions too - https://www.autodoc.co.uk/bosch/1148106

Is there any benefit to using Double Iridiums as both are listed as compatible?

TIA

Personally I'd use whatever NGK recommend. From memory PFR5G-11 then just change them every second or third service.

I have used NKG, Bosch, & Champion in the past. Only had one fail on me it was a Champion.
I use NKG on the bike.

Back in the 80s I tried Bosch in my rally mini. They became known as rub-Bosch they caused such bad misfires. I had a champion plug fail - the centre electrode came loose and dropped down onto the earth electrode. Needless to say it caused misfires but when you pulled the plug out and inspected it the electrode would fall back to its proper place! Took ages to figure out!!!
Never had an NGK fail.

If they’ve not been out for ages you’d Be well advised to get the engine hot before you try to remove them. It makes the job uncomfortable, but they unscrew more easily
