M120 (V12) Throttle actuator (right side) problems

Can anyone help me with some information for the throttle actuator for a V12?ASR light is ON, I had 2 fault codes on ELR: 212 and 221 both indicating faulty actuator. I've cleaned the actuator (motor, potentiometer, resoldered the wires, resistances, changed the cables but faultcode 212 is still there. Potentiometer works ok. When you switch ignition on the flap goes all the way open and then closes and that's it. Faultcode is there. A new actuator has fixed the problem but is expensive.
I have access to a star diagn and documentation but all they say is to replace the actuator.

iirc there was a thread somewhere - with pics - of a throttle being taken apart....

might have been one of the us w140 forums.

iirc - he looked at the issue and decided that it was impossible to fix
