M130 timing gear removal

I am tearing down an M130 i brought home but cant seem to get the timing gear for the distributor out... the hole leading to the bolt doesn't line up and I can't get a wrench behind it. Do i need a special tool or is there a trick to getting it out. Would greatly appreciate the help
