Hello there

I have two questions:

Firstly, could someone please let me know the series start and end numbers for the M156 engine. I am interested in the last six digits. I have the xxxxxxxx064557 Engine and wanted to see if this is near the end of the series

Secondly, my understanding is that in terms of head bolt issues, those M156 engines affected by this were before xxxxxxxx060658. Is this correct?

Thank you

Welcome to the forum:)
I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your first question, but you are correct in your understanding of the faulty head bolt issue engine # ending in 060658.
Engines numbered after this should have a revised head bolt fitted.

Going back to your first question, considering the faulty head bolts were phased out around 2011 and M156 engines were still being produced and fitted up to 2015 I believe your engine number was quite a way before the end of production.
