Quickie please gents, how do I remove the MAF sensor? I've got it unplugged, don't know how to remove the cylinder and don't want to break anything!

That looks the same as the one on M112. The plastic clip that goes around the MAF locates with the back of the engine. It has outward hooks on the end of the plastic and towards the MAF there is a clip that hooks together. I think I did mine by gently lifting up in one side of hook and pushing down on the other to disengage clips.

I couldn't see any clips! Trouble is there's fifteen foot of engine to lean over...

Do I need to remove the housing that the MAF sits in or just pull it straight up out? It would wiggle but not otherwise move...

You show the clip in your photo. I have cropped it down to highlight clip. You can see two arms heading to engine under pipe and central clip. Basically it is a plastic ring that goes around MAF and then clips together on engine side and to "hooks"on engine. You need to seperate the two sides of the clip (centre of photo below). Gently push down on one side and up on other and should unclip or squeeze together and seperate. Clip will then be able to be removed and MAF just pulls out as far as I recall.

It's also easier to get to if you put your bonnet into the service position.

Thank you very much.

Just thinking about it a it more - last I did this was about 6 months ago and memory not what it was !!
I think if you push MAF towards engine it makes it easier to release plastic clip and there may then be a couple of Spring type clips that hold MAF at base - the type you sometimes get holding air filter housings together.
