Only buy a Bosch replacement. You can get them from Euro Car Parts, but make sure you specify that you want a Bosch one. Bosch have recently added a hologram seal to their boxes to try to counteract the counterfeit ones on the market. Avoid eBay IMO. If you are in the Surrey area, BMG Autoparts at Leatherhead are very good, and will often undercut Euro on price, as they are their biggest competitor. 01372 378951 - Rick is the boss, but all the guys (and gals) there are very au fait with Merc parts.

For a 320, you should be talking circa £150

A Bosch agent will supply the sensor without any added plastic bits, take the sensor out of the tubular air pipe and find the ten digit part no stamped on its body.
The price is much lower than the assembly.

Provided you have some tamperproof torx drivers. Some of the latest ones use a five point torx instead of the normal six.

I manged to remove the awkward torx screws by mole grip and pliers then fitted nice pozi M5 screws in mine (on the rover), why do they bother to use them?
