Maintenance Booklet

I have just bought my first Merc,about 6 months ago, a 1995 E320 coupe with 101000 miles,I have to say it's a lovely car, better by far than a lot of brand new cars I've owned.
I notice that the maintenance booklet(FMB hstory) has "DUPLICATE" through all the pages, what does that, if anything, imply.

I bought a 1995 E320 coupe recently too and the service book has Duplicate perforated thru each page. It didn't look like a replacement book as all stamps were different and were dated correctly.

hi simon, if the original booklet is lost then a duplicate can can be supplied through mb, this cn then be sent to all dealers where vehicle has been serviced to be stamped (computers have long memories!) or the book could have been lost if car was from hire company originally. this was the case with my wifes previous a class which was an easy rent car. there is nothing to be worried about as long as they are dealer stamps or from different garages.

I didnt find any maintenance log book when I bought my car, but I would like to write all the services in the future
Is any version somewhere that I can print it?
Or buy it?
