I washed my car at the jet wash and while i was driving back home my son noticed bucket loads of water coming into the passenger footwell. I got home to try to see where it was coming from but to no avail. I put the heater on blow into the footwell to try to dry it out and my heaters dont blow no more but there is still heat coming from them. I dont fancy taking it into the garage for them to tell me some rubbish that the whole heating system needs replacing but i get some idea of you guys in the know. The car is a C200 elegance on a 1999.

Have you checked the drain holes along the wiper/scuttle panel, these may be blocked up with leaves and debris and this is where your water is coming from.. the water you used to wash the car with...

There are drains but Xtractorfan will tell you.

If the blower has stopped the chances are that it has blown the fan control unit 395 in the link,,,you may be lucky with just a fuse gone

Cheers xtractorfan, would it be possible to get a pic up if you find them.

@ Television where abouts would that be ( the fan control unit 395 in the link ) so i can scour for a spare one at a breakers yard or something. What type of price would i be paying for either new or 2nd hand.

I am going to print off the air intake removal instructions.

The fan will have to come out, and you can test that on the 12 v battery, as said this normally blows the regulator, they are often on Ebay
