Manilfold intake issues

Hi Guys I have a 2016 GLA 200d 4matic which I have had for 10mths and on Monday I noticed that my paddle shifters were working on an off and the eml came on and then went back off, so decided to book it in Arnold Clark as i have a warranty with them, so car went in yesterday and got a call saying that the manifold intake was blocked and that I would need to replace that and the egr pully and pipes and the cost is £2000 as its not covered under warranty. Now I told them not to touch my car as i was going to dispute this as I have sopken to two mechanics one of which worked at mercedes and bth said there is no such thing as a egr pully its the egr valve and cooler, which is covered by the warranty, so waiting on the Service Manager calling me, but I m wondering if anyone else has had this issue

Not sure if this is the same but I am about to replace the Intake Manifold on my 2007 E350 due to a snapped arm that operates the butterflies in the manifold. Not sure what that egr pully is, never heard of them?

You can get modified metal brackets for your M272 engine inlet issue - not made by Mercedes but appear to work well.

Darn it - the manifold has already been ordered and delivered to my mech - just have to wait to get the car in for it to be installed. Oh well - live and learn
