As my clk 320 has an automatic box, and as they never came with a manual option, I got a thinking, the chrysler crossfire has a manual gearbox from the factory.
Now I was thinking I know that the crossfire uses the mercedes 3.2 engine same as mine so has anyone done a conversion on the mercedes clk using the crossfire manual transmission, because I think that it is possible to do it?
    Thanks for any advice

yes mercedes did a manual box for that engine, although its not common. The physical conversion would be pretty straight forward, im not sure what you would do about the electronics, but you can get around it

A manual donor car would help and cut out all the expense

that it would be but as I said it as a moment of inspiration, that will not be happening, getting to old to be lying underneath a car, over an idea, lol
I will just be concentrating on getting my Clk looking the way I want it, without being to austintatious, just mean and moody
    :p
