Hi Fellow MB owners,
i'm driving a w124 '94 220TE.
My rear drivers side manual window wasn't working. So today i decided to find out what was going on by firstly removing the door panel.
After doing so i found out that the wires that are attached to the window and manually function to ensure the window goes up and down were tangled and quite badly damaged @ the ends.
I have managed to untangle them however the wires will not stay on the grooves of the spindle attached to the window handle.
Also because i discovered the wires tangled i'm not sure whether i am assembling the whole mechanism in the correct way.
Can anyone offer any advice please while i have the door panel off?
Many Thanks
Beresford

Thanks Paul but no!
it was a bit of a task getting the drivers rear side panel off in the first place.
Also thanks Turnipsock for the link .It was helpful and will be helpfull in the future however it didn't show anything to do with my rear door manual mechanism.
Any ideas anybody?

Many Thanks Beresford.

Do you have a Haynes manual? At least this would show the more/less correct technique for taking the door trims off. I'm sticking with my original advice........door panels should not be a huge issue........

Yes i have one.
However it is not as clear as it could be.
Also some of the clips on the door panel i have taken off are damaged due to age and i don't want a repeat of the same with the other panels.
I may go by a MB garage to get some advice,
Best Beresford
