Hi new to the forum im trying to find some help with updating my sat nav before I have to go to main dealer and get ripped off big time. Any help much appreciate

Ask one of the eBay sellers. I've had 3 updates now for different mb cars . All went well and worked.

I have looked all the updates are on sd card and there is no sd card slot on my module

Did you look on the auction £2? can't remember what i paid.

Yes that’s what I have been told by main dealer they want £250. So was thinking of going down the root of buying another module with sd card slot

Is it not in the glove box. Put a photo on here of your unit .

It is but there is no slot for a ad card to update it it has to be done through a pc/laptop. Alan Gunn has sorted for me

My one in the glove box needed a new battery as the computer started to read it but then failed.
Easy to change and around £12 or £14 i can's quite remember but if you need one i can point you in the right direction.

It’s working ok just keeps coming up maps are out of date and didn’t even know it had a battery lol

Mine was working ok in the car but when out to connect to the pc the battery didn't have enough life in it.
Might be ok but if it fails to read the complete file it will be down to the internal battery witch just fits in like a phone battery.

Just a post for the other side of the coin.
I have a 2016 GLC with the SD slot in the middle box and Garmin Map Pilot Sat Nav.
A few years back I bought an SD Card from an eBay Nav shop - V15 SD Card. It looked genuine in a bubble pack with a sealing sticker and all. Worked once then "SD Card Failure" error on the screen.

Back to eBay and the shop had gone - funny that.

Rang Garmin and talked to one of their Tech Support people, who proved it to me that the card was a fake. Then bought the genuine article from MB so my cheap solution cost me £35 extra on top of the £110 for the genuine item.

Does anyone know when the 2025 SD Card is available ??

2026 likely. Unlucky with your card . I also bought one off eBay £29.99 registered it to the car and it's working to this day.

I also bought a card off eBay and it didn’t work not saying there was anything wrong with it it might of been me doing something wrong (but I did follow the instructions to the letter) so I went to Mercedes and they wanted £230 to load new maps. I bought a new module off eBay the first one didn’t work the guy sent another one next day delivery and it’s work perfect has latest maps and speed cameras and was £150 the guy I bought was great and very helpful

Been there my 2011 212 still has the original map, & I bought it 6 months old. If I had renewed the maps each year it would have cost me over £1,200 so far.
I use Waze on my iPhone, its free much faster & better than MB's in all respects.
