You don't provide a report for every thing you do. Radio logs are all that is kept for contacts unless part of a wider operation. The pace of life in Helmand until mid 2014 was such that you would quickly run out of time to write a report for every contact. So it was only pre planned operations etc they were done for.

There would always be a verbal debrief on return. But at his level it would only have been with those on the Patrol.

It came to light through an investigation into a different matter with the Marine who was wearing the Helmet Cam. The RMP found the footage on his laptop and then alerted the civil authorities.
