Mass airflow sensor - C180 estate 2004

Hi does anyone know about Mass airflow sensor in a Mercedes C180 estate 2004, after a full service the light came on and my mechanic say's its the mass airflow sensor, but the light is off now and before it went for servicing it did not come on!

You need to read the codes off. Without codes it's just a guess.
