My car is an E320 cdi I bought it new 2002 has done 225,000 been a great car except for recently I have had no turbo ,the kick down does not work so I changed the Mass semsor I bought it on Ebay for £33 delivered
I fitted it and the turbo worked straight away and was back to original power but after 5 minutes the engine changed sound and the exhaust got louder mainly when I was sat at a junction or traffic lights and then the power dissappears although the turbo still works to some extent .If I switch it off then restart straight away it works fine for the same time then goes again.
Anybody got any ideas please ?

When you say new sensor £33 delivered, was that a new new sensor and was it like for like ie branded?

Was there or is there any oil contamination on the pipe work in or around the sensor?

My experience with anything other than the original sensor is money wasted, there are plenty of China made sensors on the market and many sold through ebay that are only fit for the bin.

Anyone here that works on Mercedes wouldnt recommend anything other than the original sensor.

Sorry
