Think transmission.......
The 350’s are quite a high torque anyway John, plus as all that torque isn’t used all of the time small amounts over the limit aren’t that much of an issue. Okay so it might be a little earlier in rebuilding your gearbox and not last a couple of hundred thousand miles but it’s not going to suddenly let go after 10/20k if there is nothing already wrong with it and it’s maintained

One has to limit ones actions at times Craig, sometimes in self preservation, sometimes self preservation from the boss :D
I think I’ve got cabin fever from lockdown, but I do feel hoonish in the CL500 currently!

I read somewhere that the technical maximum speed of a 350cdi W212 in standard form is 157mph - so the 155mph limit is basically a marketing gimmick.
