I have an option on a Mercedes Benz Audio5 radio/cassette, and wondered if it is easily fitted into my 1988 299T. It currently has a sad panasonic radio/cassette and I just wonder how easy it would be to fit this other one in . Anyone any ideas, hints etc...

Thanks

The beat thing you can do is get the car to a Hifi specialist and get them to fit in an ISO connector , this will allow you to plug in any modern head unit.

I would not think much more than about £30

I actually went to halfords and bought an adaptor for an other car for a tenner and cut the unwanted end off before spicing it into my 190's loom ....real easy job... (previous owner had butched the wiring at some time).
makes changing ICE real easy..

Those adapters that you can buy now are excellent, it saves so much cutting and splicing if wires, hence a new radio can now be fitted in about 1/8th of the time!
