Do MB use different security patterns on their wheel nuts/bolts across their vehicle range or do they use just one to pattern to act as a deterent to the casual thief? If there are multiple patterns, how many are there?

If the security socket were lost/mislaid, how easy is it to obtain a replacement? If there is only one security pattern then obtaining a replacement ought to be straightforward?

Wheel Locking Nuts.

I recently lost the locking key and had to go to the dealers to obtain a new one. (W220)

They came out with a case of about fifteen to twenty different patterns until they found the right one, and then ordered it.

I know the wheel bolts on the S Class are bigger than some of the others, eg C Class, so I guess that there are quite a number of different keys. Hope this helps.
