I have just taken delivery of my new (used 2007 - 171) SLK350 Auto that at the time I first saw it on the MB Direct Waltham Cross Web site didn’t have PARKTRONIC.
When I called to enquire the Sales Rep (David Elms) said if that was something I was interested in then that's something that could be retrofitted.
Initially he said he would only do the rear but I said I said I was only interested if vechiacl had both front and rear parktronic.
Anyway the day I pick it up I question the location of the front parktronic display as it looked out of place and hence challenged the sales rep when I noticed it, he said yes that’s where they go and we swiftly moved on.
I have since read the owner’s manual and neither does it operate nor is it located as described in the owners manual.. so my question to you (someone who has one) is this a genuine Mercedes-benz part/product?
If not do ya think it would be covered by the manufactures warranty?
I have included a photo of the parktronic displays front and rear.
