I have been looking for this for 4 years as a replacement, I raked everywhere even at Merc dealers and I gave up.

When I opened up the siren and found it rusty for it could be the reason for the intermittent false alarm going off, I looked for one at eBay and bought one. Today when I received it to my amazement, not only the siren is the one I am after, it the same Scorpion alarm model I am looking for. It came with the red and black push keys. It a funny world after all these times, this guy had been hoarding these spare units.

There are batteries inside the siren, will its be lapsed after all these years?

If I replaced the whole system do I have to go to Merc to synchronise my ignition keys or will it just works without doing anything else?

Hi,
Just replace the alarm siren to avoid any complications, and try it as the alarm control unit very rarely failled.

I got the circuit diagram and know how to bypass the Scorpion alarm. I have to wait 12 years to find this out. There is another infrared module.

I might as well did the installation of the alarm myself 12 years ago or Merc should have give me the circuit diagram.
