Do you actually want it or are you messing about? It is currently on my Merc, taxed and tested, both are being sold, either together or individually. Stick some more zeroes on your price...

I would not have thought it was worth anymore than £150 really, just an Irish plate is it not?

I'd sell it with the car if I were you. These numbers are ten a penny from the dealers at prices from £400 upwards, so if someone want one, they'll buy through a dealer where they have some safety. I'm sure you are a very honest guy but would someone who doesn't know you, give you several hundred pounds on a promise that you'll do the transfer? Plus the legalities ar a real pain these days and you are going to have to pay to split them on the offchance you can flog it.
Save yourself a lot of hassle and get the buyer of the car to give you £250 for it.

Sorry not keen on Irish plates on Mercs etc..

especially the 4 digit ones.

Try piston heads or ebay but as mentioned you can buy these quite cheap so may be easier to sell with car?
