I am returning to the fold!!!!

I have just put a deposit down on a brand new CLC 180 Kompressor Auto Sport. It's sliver with the black and grey MB Tex interior, darkened glass, Comfort pack and birds eye mapel interior.

I had a CLK 320 before then changed it for a MINI Cooper S - it's great fun but it's not a merc, I know that the CLC is basically the same as the old C class coupe but I love the look of the car and it drives beautifully very much the same as the CLK but that was getting on a bit and the 320 fuel consumption was a bit scary! Should get it early next week all being well, I can't wait!

The best bit was the deal, managed to get it on the new PCP finance offer which is just crazily cheap!

Can't wait to be behind the wheel of a Merc again!

I was considering one of these but I was never very impressed with the old c sports coupe. Are these made any better?

I think that they are fantastic value and it drove just the same as my CLK. The one that I have managed to secure is already built as I understand that they are very difficult to come by, basically with the deal that they are doing on the PCP they are cheaper than many lower priced cars - they still feel like a proper merc, I'm popping over to see mine later this morning!

hi i was lucky enough 2 find 1 on the system with a spec that i was looking for! yeah it is a crazy cheap deal mine is just over £25000 with the extras and i thought to myself what brand new car could u buy for the money with such high standard spec! parktronic is standard it cost my dad £400 on his new ML! the car has changed a lot to the old model as i can compare the 2, i owned the old one. if u speak 2 the dealers they have updated most aspects of the car the engine the drive and the look besides your getting so much for your money! like u said your second hand mini which are great fun cars as my girlfriend has 1 but no comparison to the drive and luxury of a mercedes!

I've been thinking about one of these as wife complains about weight and size of doors on CLK. Are they smaller and lighter?
Also, do they have the foot operated parking brake?

previously W202 & W203
don't want to rain on anyone's parade but where are they built?
broke my heart (but also explained a lot ) when I looked on the driver's door panel and saw "Made in South Africa" on my 203
there's only one country where MBs should be made - I would never again buy one without checking that out - no matter how good the pcp deal (there's always a reason)
that said I genuinely hope you guys are happy with your new motors and they live up to your expectations

hi there the pcp deal based on 6.9% APR which i believe to be very reasonable! the promotion mercedes are offering is a £2999 deposit 36 monthly instalments of £249 and i cant quite remember the balloon i think it was about £13000, i put down a bigger deposit to lower my monthly payments! as for the cars being built in south america, my dads new ML was built in alabama and cannot fault it any way possible! mercedes will always be a german engineered car there for maintaining the high standards mercedes show in all there veichles so im not really to bothered were it is built and im sure i will be happy with it thanks!

£25,000 then to buy the car over 3 years or £12,000 to rent the car for 3 years then hand it back.

I know that they are not the last word in 'latest tech' but they are fantastically priced! I put down £500 and am paying £300 a month - less that pretty much anything decent plus I have quite a fully specced one for that!

At these prices, a well specced 220CDI Sport might be a good idea.........

They are really fantastic value, picking mine up either tomorrow or Wednesday!!!! can't wait, I understand the biggest problem is getting hold of one, I thought it was dealer sales talk, but having spoken to others, it seems that they are being a great sales success!

Could you please explain that one for me..... I don't really understand PCP's etc and have no idea of how it works.

Gathering from what you just said, it sounds like a great deal....

Thanks.

Basically a PCP is deferring the retained value of the car until the end of the deal be that 2,3 or 4 years, basically paying the depreciation in between. At the end of the term the idea is that you have 3 options:
1) Hand the car back and walk away - something that few people do due to PCP's being designed to have equity at the end - but something that in the current climate may be useful in 3 years with the very unstable used car market, the benefit of the PCP is that the final value agreed at the outset is guaranteed so even if the car is worth thousands less the finance company absorb the difference.
2) Sell the car privately and settle the finance leaving you with equity to put down on the next car.
3) P/ex the car and start again (which is pretty much the same as above - anything above the settlement is a deposit).

I have bought my last few cars on PCP and whilst some argue that you have nothing at the end, I have always put down a small deposit (this time £500) and view my payment as rental, if I can have a brand new top spec Merc, under warranty for £300 a month I think that is pretty reasonable particularly as the APR is really low with merc finance I would rather do this than pay cash and have the uncertainty about depreciation.
