Merc CLK 320 'B' Service Cost

I've just been advised that a 'B' service on my 320 CLK will cost £1064.08.

That's nice...

As it is basically 16 years old just do it yourself...

When i had my CLK the service was about £250 from an independent.

From your other posts it looks like other work is required. Is to just the B Service that is £1,064.08?

16 years old so probably needs Gearbox oil and filter, brake fluid, all filters, even so that is a high price

Doing some rough numbers , it's hard to see how that gets over £600 at an Indy , maybe spark plugs (if it's petrol?) might add a little , but even still .

There is a thread where the crankshaft vibration damper along with a few other bits needs changing as well

Add it all together then I doubt that price is far off

It could still just be the B service or it could be a host of other bits as well, just be nice to know to compare like with like.
