Greetings all!

I'm a proud owner of an auto B Class W246 and it's been quite a pleasure driving it around these past 3 weeks! Having owned a manual 1999 Audi A4 Avant 1.9TDi for the last 18 years, it's refreshing to indulge in a bit of opulance now...or rather satisfy my advancing years/midlife crisis!

It was a choice between another Audi A4 (2015 2.0 TDi saloon) or this but went for the Merc due to it's flexibility, a little similar to my wife's VW Touran. Plus I preferred the simplistic ergonomics of the centre console like my old Audi as unfortunately, the new ones have become a little fussy like BMW interiors.

Hopefully, I'll enjoy this Merc for many years like my Audi but may be tempted to go for a sporty saloon later...once my kids have moved out!

Thanks McDonald. My Audi did 250k genuine miles and had a bulletproof engine. Never had any major issues, just general wear and tear. Unfortunately, the cost of maintenance was far more than the car value not to mention the impending expansion of the ULEZ in London. Sadly it had to go but hopefully this Merc will be a worthy successor.
