Does anyone know how to find the Mercedes correct part numbers for replacement brake pads and parking brake from shoes.

I have. CLC 220CDI Sport with standard 18 inch alloys WDB 203 series registered Sept 2008 58 reg and need to know correct Mercedes part numbers for :-

Front brake pads.............
Rear brake pads"..............
Rear parking brake drum shoes"...................

I did try asking my local Merc dealership in Beaconsfield, but they would not give part numbers which was no help.

Once I have original Merc part numbers and can be sure of the specification I intend comparing price with other brake pad/shoe options. I want to buy parts of the same quality as Mercedes and would ask if anyone could recommend good recognised alternative brands that does not cost the earth. Bosch came to mind as a recognised name and a mid price option, but do not know if their brake pads any good.

Thanks

Nikki

It quite a lot of work looking all that up, I can understand why Hughes in Beaconfield would not do it.

I know it is work looking up the part numbers, but Hughes have serviced our E class for the past 5 years and have had a lot of business. The part numbers would be v helpful if anyone has them. Thanks. Nikki

If you can work your way through this you will find the part numbers

Go to cars, then find yours by the first 6 VIN numbers and its all there.

if theyre anything like the ones on my 203, the liners broke up and were coming adrift from the metal shoe every 4-5 years, so it wouldnt surprise me! ive replaced them on mine 3 times now

Having just bought the CLC I can see rear brake pads are near gone and given your comments I will check drum shoes sooner rather than later !

Thanks

Nikki
