Hello thee I have a Mercedes 2004 c220 which the remote central locking does not work by the key or by the infrared sensor at the drivers door, I've read up about this and people are saying it could be the antenna amplifier to do with the central locking. I've. Took it out and the circuit board Doesn't look good to be honest but does anyone have any thoughts on the infrared not working?

So you’ve seen the key transmitting the IR from the key then

Use your phone in camera mode (or a digital camera) and whilst focusing on the window in the end if the key press one of the buttons on the key whilst looking at the screen. You’ll see a light in the window at the end of the key if it’s working.

This is the circuit board of the antenna amplifier, in two photos are parts of the circuit board that have come away when I opened it, I don't know much about circuit boards to be honest but it looks like it's not in good shape

That corrosion is enough to kill that board. You could try and clean it but it won’t be easy to get all the corrosion away.

It’s the bits under the chips and components that is the problem.

NOPE!! Not in good shape at all. The fact you have a resistor, and coil loose is not good and I can see a crack in one of the chips plus major damage. Needs replacing really. Might Just be repairable but would need the correct component values.

Yeah I thought it didn't look to good, had a search and like a new one is 70 quid on ebay, I wouldn't mind having a go at trying to fix it, it's already broken I cna only break it more lol do you have any recommendations on websites and videos I could look at to repairing the board, maybe how I would identify the components needed?
