hello i am looking at good or bad on these cars and is the engine timing belt or chain. Thank you
Hello and Welcome
Brilliant cars and an epic engine
does the 350 diesel 2014 have s timing belt or chain ? Thank you
Still a chain...
Great car to own for me Only comment, you need more space to get in and out of them than a E saloon.
What sort of real mpg from the 350 please
Some user reports here - https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/mercedes-benz/e-class-coupe-2009
I have slightly older one than yours, it’s a ‘59 plate and she gives an average of 33 mpg however, I do have a divers boot permanently attached to my right foot. When forced to drive sensibly it will return low to mid 40’s.

40's is possible, I get 30 round town and over 40 on a run
Great cars and on my daily commute (boringly slow) it shows up to 48mpg sometimes, with an average of 41.6mpg over the last 10,000 miles. It does go down to early 30's when you are really booting it and the roads are clear.
I'll second that.
...and a third “Yes” from me. I used to easily get 43mpg from mine on a long run without hanging about, best ever was 51mph on a steady run down French Autroroutes
PS - welcome to the forum Mark.
Hi Mark, welcome to the forum Sounds like a yes then !!
Hi and Welcome Mark !!! Good Luck with your 350 ..lovely car.
just to say, I went from Portsmouth to Essex last Wednesday to have the car remapped by GAD. Averaged 50.5MPG on that trip!
Best I have managed. Always get 48MPG over a year between services.
Just goes to show how much difference the heavy estate body makes. We've only seen 46mpg once, in exceptional circumstances.
And the fact it is a completely different car from the chassis up with over 200kg of extra weight
Any things to look out for on the e350 coupe .... I can’t seem to find much just on things about pan roof seals and alloys easy to scuff ? Thank you
