Can you help?
I run a Eura Mobil motorhome on a Sprinter Sprintshift 416 Chassis. Besides all the problems I have had mainly with the Sprintshift box I now have trouble with annoying tinny sounding top end rattle. Its not a loud clatter, though very annoying especialy after a long drive.
To give you some background.
I bought it In December 2005 privately. It had only covered some 8,500 miles and was 3 1/2 years old. The engine did not seem to be the quitest 416 I'd driven but the problem started at around 12,000 miles. I did have it serviced by and MB dealer as soon as I bought it. Scince then it has now covered 16,000 miles and I have changed the oil and filter again to fully synthetic.
However, I do have this annoying top end rattle tapping and despite taking it back to MB who gave the engine a clean bill of health, I find it very noisy!
Any suggestions?
