Hello All,

I have recently purchased a 500 sec which I adore - I have recenty felt jerking when driving along at about 40 mph. As soon as I put my foot down it accelerates fine and on the whole drives fine. The car never stalls or cuts out, but I can feel juddering at about 40 mph. Just wandered if experienced SEC owners would know the cause - thanking all in advance.

Many of us adore the 126,but welcome to the forum ,the thing that comes to mind is the center bearing on the prop shaft

They have a real appetite for dizzy caps & arms.
Also the leads can arc out where they are all sheathed together & the king lead where it's routed around the PAS pump.
Is the mixture too lean?Check all the vacuum pipes & breather hoses for perishing.
Are the injectors in good condition (what's the idle like)?I'd run the tank low & run an injector cleaner (Forte is very good) through it anyway.
