Hi all

Wonder if anyone can help. My wifes A class has since yesterday had the orange "engine" warning light on, the one with a little picture of the engine.

It is on constantly, not flashing.

The car appears to drive normally, although I noticed when it was stationary tonight when I tried to Rev the engine it would not go past about 4500 rpm and appeared to miss, or as though something was preventing it from going into the red on the rev counter.

Not sure if that is linked to the light or not.

Can anyone help please?

get it on a computer, the most common cause of engine light on a class is air mass sensor/maf , built into the ecu on this one.
best to get it checked on star machine
