I am hoping you will be able to help me, 1 Month ago we purchased an A140 Mercedes 1999 T Reg.
All was great for the first few weeks, then I started to notice that the O/S front tyre was wearing excessivly on the outer edge. I took the vehicle into National Tyres who explained that the tracking was the problem and they could put it right for £30, so I agreed they put it right and after I went off to a local tyre garage to change the O/S Front with the almost new spare that was in the boot.
All good I thought.
A week later I started to notice that the new tyre was starting to wear the same, I checked the N/S Front and this seems to be fine. I have taken the vehicle into two garages one local and one specialist (Howard Williams - Birmingham) and neither can find anything wrong, bent, worn or out???
The RAC & HPI both state that the vehicle is clear and not been involved in any accidents, I am now getting concerned as to what is wrong with it.
We got ripped off by the garage in Birmingham having two new front brake pipes fitted costing £140, It did need them but I feel very foolish, when the vehicle carries your loved ones you will do anything to sort out problems.
I do hope you will be able to give me advice as I dont think I can afford anymore costly repairs.
